K Jetronic is only as strong as its weakest link. All interdependent parts must be in proper order for total CIS bliss.

Good to hear you've upped the power now  Wink

i found that the intake was too free breathing, killed the vacuum advance.

so i adjusted the throttle body back a bit and the vacuum advance works great now. lost the power a bit. sort of defeats the purpose.

i would like to rotate the distributor for some more timing but the damn thing is stuck so tight. i loosened the nut but it doesnt move. how do i free it? im afraid to use wd40 coz it might get in the distributor.

Loosen the base bolt more, but matchmark beforehand.

i loosened the base bolt almost all the way out. but its still stuck. looks like old oil/powersteeringfluid build up all around the base. looks like the previous owner had a go at this too. some chisel marks on the base. lol

what is the procedure for removal of the distributor from the engine block?

what can i use to remove that gunk?
